Nauticus hosting summer camps for kids of all ages
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Nauticus is now in search of registration for its new summer time camps this 12 months.
Nearby youth can select from three different ordeals this summer months:
- “Design. Make. Sail.”: Recommended for initially-timers, are open to all children aged 8-13.
- “Sail Voyagers” half-day classes: Professional sailors or previous camp attendees, ages 12-15, can develop on their sailing techniques.
- “Schooner Virginia Overnight Camp“: Teenagers aged 14-17 are invited to board Schooner Virignia and immerse on their own in all sides of tall ship sailing and sail all through the southern Chesapeake Bay. This system will allow campers to devote a night time at anchor and experience the natural beauty of the night sky.
Campers will be taught by award-winning instructors, like the Schooner Virginia’s Captain Erik Lohse and Sail Nauticus’ Sailing Program Coordinator Dylan Guill. Previously this 12 months, Guill gained the Excellence in Instruction Award in the Group Sailing classification from US Sailing.
Campers will develop self-self-assurance, follow teamwork, and explore their group from a new vantage point.
Nauticus and Sail Nauticus members can receive discounted camp registration.
Camps operate from June 20 until August 15. To register, Simply click Right here.
